Ben started his career as a television news correspondent and over a fifteen year period worked for the three main UK television networks, BBC, ITN and Sky News. During his time as a news correspondent, he was involved in writing, producing and presenting reports and features for both news bulletins and longer format programmes. He worked on a range of stories around the world from the 9/11 attacks on New York and the subsequent Anthrax attacks in Washington to the allied bombing of Baghdad.

For the past two decades he has been involved in the world of corporate communications, first for the global Omnicom agency Porter Novelli, then as founder of his own business, LionbridgePR. He has worked as a consultant in a range of sectors including hospitality, the pharmaceutical industry and aviation.

He has worked with over 30 airlines around the world and has responded to several crisis situations, including mass fatality accidents involving flydubai flight FZ981 and EgyptAir flight MS 804. In the case of flydubai, he spent more than two years before the accident, working with the communications team to develop their crisis preparedness capabilities.  He has worked with senior leaders at the hotel groups IHG, Belmond and The Dorchester Collection, covering both in crisis preparedness and response.

He has worked with many CEOs, including Dame Carolyn McCall and Johan Lundgren at easyJet. He supported Thomas Cook CEO, Peter Fankhauser, in 2015 and in 2018 after the death of tourists in resort. In his day-to-day work he regularly advises clients on how to build their company’s brand but also how to best to protect it in times of crisis.
