Mervyn Neary is a strategic risk and operational resilience leader with more than two decades of experience in enterprise risk management, business continuity, governance, and crisis management across the telecommunications, technology, and public transport sectors. He is recognised for developing comprehensive resilience frameworks, leading complex crisis response initiatives, and embedding resilience focused cultures across international organisations. His leadership approach is strengthened by advanced business education through Henley Business School via the Irish Management Institute.

Mervyn began his career in technical support before progressing into customer experience transformation and data driven operational strategy. He later moved into senior governance and resilience leadership roles, where he led operational improvement initiatives, governance programmes, and enterprise resilience strategies across multiple jurisdictions and complex operational environments.

Throughout his career, Mervyn has led crisis management planning, training, and simulation exercises, while supporting organisations through major operational disruptions, cyber related incidents, severe weather events, and large scale continuity challenges. During the Covid-19 pandemic, he directed operational resilience and safety response initiatives, implementing health protocols, remote working strategies, and continuity measures to safeguard employees and maintain critical operations.

Mervyn has extensive experience supporting large scale infrastructure and operational resilience programmes, including transport network resilience, supplier risk management, electrification continuity planning, and the modernisation of business continuity capabilities. He has successfully led initiatives focused on strengthening operational continuity, improving resilience governance, and implementing practical decentralised solutions to support service continuity during network outages and other disruptive events.

He combines strategic foresight with hands on crisis leadership experience and is passionate about cultural transformation, resilience education, and governance excellence. Mervyn is committed to ensuring resilience becomes an embedded organisational capability rather than simply a compliance framework.

GoCrisis is excited to have Mervyn on our team as a trusted resource to support and assist clients around the world.
