Andrew brings more than 35 years of experience in resilience, covering security, safety, risk management, emergency planning, and business continuity. He began his career as a British Army officer, specialising in global personnel and equipment movements and operating army landing craft.

He later led youth support initiatives in the voluntary and public sectors before joining Police Scotland in a Scottish Government appointed role. There he coordinated joint agency emergency response plans for the North East of Scotland, including the North Sea oil and gas fields, and contributed to the development of Scotland’s national resilience guidance, “Preparing Scotland”.

Andrew’s work then took him into global consultancy for the oil and gas sector, including three years in Southeast Asia as a senior consultant. He returned to the transport industry as the UK Head of Crisis Management for TUI, where he led crisis and incident response improvements across cruise operations, the airline, tour operations, and business continuity.

He has since supported a wide range of organisations and has lectured in an Emergency Response and Crisis Management degree programme for the Qatari emergency services. Andrew continues to volunteer with youth outward bound training organisations while supporting clients and colleagues at GoCrisis.
